Camera Shots and Angles

  1. Low Angle In this scene of the movie (at 1:38) Mrs. Trunchbull is being shot from a low angle. They shot her at a low angle to show her power over all of the children and to make her seem more intimidating.  2. Over The Shoulder  In this scene (at 3:14) the directors are trying to make a sad and emotional scene. They made this scene with the over the shoulder shot to try to show the emotion that is happening between the two characters even more. 3. High Angle In this scene (at 2:54) Mary Jane was thrown off a building and was falling. In this scene they used a high angle shot to show how vulnerable/ powerless she was in the scene. 4. Close Up Shot In this scene (at 1:22) the camera starts to get closer to his face which creates the close up shot. They used this shot to show all of the emotion in his face and to make the audience feel more of what that character is feeling. 5.   My name is Ebanie Rojas and I am 14 years old. I am in my first year of Highschool but in Middle school I came to this school in the morning so I am not completely new to this school. One of my biggest things I am focused on is school but I do have other big interests like karate. I have been doing karate for two years and my favorite thing to do is sparring. When I am not in school or at practice I am spending time with my family and friends or in bed watching a movie/ reading a book.    I am taking this class for two reasons. One reason is that it seemed interesting when I was choosing my classes. In middle school I was in morning announcements and when I saw this class it seemed similar and I liked that class so I wanted to take it. My other reason for taking this class is that it is a Cambridge class.
