Camera Shots and Angles
1. Low Angle
In this scene of the movie (at 1:38) Mrs. Trunchbull is being shot from a low angle. They shot her at a low angle to show her power over all of the children and to make her seem more intimidating.
2. Over The Shoulder
In this scene (at 3:14) the directors are trying to make a sad and emotional scene. They made this scene with the over the shoulder shot to try to show the emotion that is happening between the two characters even more.
3. High Angle
In this scene (at 2:54) Mary Jane was thrown off a building and was falling. In this scene they used a high angle shot to show how vulnerable/ powerless she was in the scene.
4. Close Up Shot
In this scene (at 1:22) the camera starts to get closer to his face which creates the close up shot. They used this shot to show all of the emotion in his face and to make the audience feel more of what that character is feeling.
5. Establishing Shots
In this video you can see all of the establishing shots that were filmed in the Harry Potter franchise. The directors used these establishing shots to show where the movie was taking place.
