Mood Board Project

 



The genre I chose to make the mood board about is coming of age. In these types of movies the theme that is usually being represented is growing up. To show growing up in the mood board I used certain colors to represent maturing and some examples of coming of age movies.

I chose this genre because I have watched many of these types of movies and I am familiar with the genre. As a result of that I have noticed that in these types of films the theme is usually growing up and maturing.  In coming of age movies the theme of growing up can be seen because the main character usually goes through something but in the end they end up learning and growing from that event. For example, in the movie "The Edge of Seventeen" it shows a teenage girl who has gone through stuff in her life and in the end even though there was not a solution to all the problems she did end up getting some form of closure. This movie is a good example of a coming of age movie because it does show the reality of a teenagers life where things may not always end up with a perfect solution but you just have to keep on moving.

In the mood board I put specific colors to represent this type of genre and theme. When researching about the genre I found out that these colors are some types of colors that they use in these types of movies. I believe that the light colors represent the teens or kids in the beginning and the darker colors are for the end after they have matured and learned from the event that impacted their lives.

Finished Project Feelings

Write about issues you had during your project and how you fixed them.    - While making our movie we went through a couple challenges. The first challenge was procrastination. We waited a while to start which was not good but since the due date was getting closer we finally began doing it. The next challenge was getting together but we fixed it by deciding how to split up the work and making sure we all did equal work.  Write about changes that had to be made within your story.    - The one change that was made was the location of the story. In the beginning, we planned to do it at a camp but then we changed it to be at a house. Preparing to Film

 Now that we have an idea of what we are going to film we are starting to prepare everything we are going to need and talking about what we are going to do. We are all going to be in the film and another one of our friends who is not in our group is going to help with the film too. We have not made any specific jobs for each of us we are just working on it all together and contributing whatever we can. Actors: Isabella G.L., Anneliese G., Anabella G.L.
